LGBT Pride Month

We may be a little bit (fashionably) late to the party writing this blog, but hopefully you’re already fully aware that June is LGBT Pride Month, aka Gay Pride? We’ve been posting lots of your colourful, creative and Pride-inspired posts across Instagram and our other social accounts - check them out if you haven’t already.

The month of June was chosen for LGBT Pride Month to commemorate the Stonewall riots, which took place in June 1969. Many pride events are held during this month, to recognise the impact LGBT people have had on the world.

What Is Manchester Pride?

Campaigning for LGBT+ equality, celebrating LGBT+ life and creating opportunities that engage LGBT+ people so that they can thrive; we love Manchester Pride and try to go each and every year.

Taking place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th August this year, Manchester Pride Festival will be held in Mayfield Storage Distribution Ltd, just a short walk from The Gay Village. This sleeping beauty of a building will host multiple stages and performance areas with a mixture of indoor and outdoor spaces. With a world-class line-up of pop and dance artists (Ariana Grande, Years & Years and Pixie Lott to name a few); what are you waiting for?!
